In 2007 BIOMASA was engaged in competition named "The national business price for the environment in Slovakia", and won the first place in the Category C - "Process". More information is HERE. |

World Award for Sustainable Development is the most appreciate and the most prestigious award in the environmental field and is a kind of "Nobel Prize for environmental protection". BIOMASA Association won the award for the successful implementation of the main project "Integrated logistics for the use of biomass energy – Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through use of biomass energy in North-western Slovakia.  His Excellency Mr. Rodolphe Vallee, Ambassador of USA to the Slovak Republic visited BIOMASA
The visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of USA, Mr. Rodolphe Vallee in BIOMASA Kysucky Lieskovec took place on 15 December 2006. After the business lunch, organized by the Embassy of USA, with representatives of BIOMASA and cooperated organizations from the field of biomass utilization and non-governmental sector, Mr. Ambassador visited wood pellet production in Kysucky Lieskovec and met also with BIOMASA staff.
