Sustainbale Energy Europe Awards 2011

see_logoThe annual Sustainable Energy Europe Awards reward best-in-class inititiatives that promote renewable energy or energy efficiency. In recent years, some 250 projects have competed to win an award. The Awards Ceremony is one highlight of EU Sustainable Energy Week and attracts media interest from across Europe. The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Brussels on 12 April 2011.

Participation in the Awards Competition is one of the communication and promotional services offered to all approved projects of the year.

Some 309 initiatives are competing in this year's Award Competition, distributed across six categories: communicating, learning, living, producing, consuming and travelling.

Like any other awards scheme, the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards are very competitive. Not many projects succeed in being nominated for an award, and even fewer will win it.

Following the evaluation of all 2011 entries by the Technical Advisory Committee, a team of independent energy experts under the coordination of the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI), a total of 27 projects have been shortlisted as nominees of the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards Competition 2011.
