European Commission annually awards the best implemented projects from LIFE programme which was ended to the end of the 2013. There was project of BIOMASA Association from Kysucky Lieskovec between these projects this year. BIOMASA Association with their own project CHEFUB - Creative high efficient and effective use of biomass is ranked among the best projects across Europe.
CHEFUB project focused on the creation and introduction and demonstration of innovative elements in biomass processing and heat production.
BIOMASA Association was successful in improvement of the delivery and processing of sawdust and in reducing of CO2 emissions through more quality burn of sawdust. Within project was reconstructed 20 boiler rooms on biomass.
Award Ceremony the Best LIFE Environment Project 2013 was held on 4th June 2014 in the Brussels within Green Week event. Its theme this year was the Circular Economy - saving resources, creating jobs. Representatives of BIOMASA Association participated on Award ceremony. Except that we received awards Best LIFE Environment Project 2013 for project CHEFUB, we also presented currently implemented information and promotional project SMAPUDE_LIFE - Strategic manage and planning use of domestic energy. It is a large three-year project aimed at disseminating information on the use of renewable energy sources, especially biomass and solar energy to provide thermal comfort of buildings and hot water.
