BIOMASA, Association of Legal Entities in the framework of the project DANUBENERGY organised regional workshops The use of IFBB technology in Slovakia – production of green fuel.
The first workshop was held on 22nd of October 2014 at the EKOKLASTER Office in Rajec. It was focused on the performance of the operational program Central Europe and the priority axis "Promoting environmentally friendly technologies and activities" within which the project DANUBENERGY is implemented. It was introduced to the Slovak project partner BIOMASA Association, whose activity is aimed directly at the use of environmentally friendly technologies and its promotion and dissemination of use of such technology.
Next part of the workshop was focused on introducing innovative technology IFBB - integrated production of solid fuels and biogas from biomass, which allows to process a variety of grassland derived for example from maintenance of towns and villages, from mowing unused riparian areas and from the maintenance of roads. The processing of such material through innovative technology IFBB allows to obtain the biogas from the liquid components and the solid fuel in the form of grass briquettes or pellets from solid components.
The second day of the workshop was held on 23rd of October 2014 in the premises of BIOMASA Association where participants were informed on DANUBENERGY project outputs and activities implemented under this project. During the lectures, the participants learned about the operation of the first plant, which was built on the principle of technology IFBB in the German town of Baden-Baden and has successfully produced a large quantity of solid fuel in the form of briquettes. The workshop was completed by tour through the production facilities of BIOMASA Association.
