Strategic manage and planning use of domestic energy
Project SMAPUDE_LIFE has been extended to 31.08.2017
Project Strategic manage and planning use of domestic energy was supposed to be completed by August 31, 2016. However, after a detailed assessment of the ongoing fulfillment of the project indicators as to March 31, 2016, the project team unanimously decided that it was necessary to apply for an extension of the project by at least seven months; that means until March 31, 2017. This decision was taken mainly on the grounds to ensure that all the planned activities and indicators in the project will be fulfilled. At that time there was a 100% threat that a number of indicators will not be fulfilled to the original completion date of the project.
The application for the project extension was sent to the European Commission on April 29, 2016. On June 3, 2016 a message from Mrs. Klenovsek was received to complete the application documentation and also the recommendation for a re-evaluation of the time of project extension. Considering the recommendation, the project team decided to apply for an extension of the project SMAPUDE_LIFE by 12 months until August 31, 2017. BIOMASA requested to change the project's budget to efficiently use all approved funds. Fully revised application with the appendices was sent on June 13, 2016.
On August 3, 2016 Amendment No. 1 to the Grant Agreement was signed to extend the project until August 31, 2017. The request for a budget change is currently in the approval process in the EC.
BIOMASA is a non-profit, non-governmental association of municipalities, schools and other non-profit organizations, with a long-term focus on activities that promote the use of renewable energy sources, especially biomass and solar facilities, in coordination with the efficient use of energy.
BIOMASA want to develope this activities also in project SMAPUDE_LIFE that is focused mainly on use of biomass and solar energy. BIOMASA resolved much more difficult task in this new project: we want to contribute significantly to use of biomass and solar energy all over the Slovakia.
In this new project, BIOMASA will utilize the best and newest experience to inform and communicate with a large group of target audiences. The intent is to offer experience to neighbouring regions and take mass actions to further expand the use of renewable energy sources, especially biomass and solar energy.
BIOMASA supported the formation of ECOCLUSTER and regional non-profit contact point organizations to promote the use of solid biomass and solar energy in Slovakia and the neighbouring regions of other countries. BIOMASA will present its good experiences at a number of international events in order to ensure dissemination and the transfer of experience and best practices to other regions and countries of the EU. The project will be implemented a lot of promotional activities that will focused on the various population groups.
